IdRHA Member Update
Dillon Halford
Dillon was hurt in a snowmobile accident on February 22. He is in St. Alphonsus hospital in Boise, Idaho. He is making progress in his physical therapy sessions. People from the IdRHA are encouraged to check on his progress through the CaringBridge site for Dillon.

IdRHA FINANCIAL REPORT
Treasurers Report shows that the club has $2,231.77 at this time.
The Board voted to move accounts to the Wells Fargo Bank. Club President Robyn King and Jonna Young will be the only ones to access this account. Both signatures will be required for any check or withdrawal for more than $500.
Due to this year's club financial situation, the board voted not to have a show in Jackson Hole, WY.
IdRHA SHOW NEWS
An IdRHA member proposed that the club charge an additional $5 per entry; this money would be used towards 2009 awards. After discussion, the Board voted not to add this extra fee.
The Board also discussed the Youth Program. It was decided to designate a Youth Advisor. The Youth Advisor and one youth member would attend monthly board meetings. Potential candidates for the Youth Advisor were discussed and will be approached before next month's meeting.
Also, discussed was creating a “Varsity Club”. This club would follow the one defined by the NRHA. The Board will investigate further at the next meeting.
The need for a “Show Secretary” for all of our shows was discussed. It was voted that we try to hire the same secretary for each show, Betty Mayer was suggested. Robyn said that she would speak to Betty.
The Board is leaning toward having “paid warmups” for schooling rather than Ladies and Gentlemen's classes.
IdRHA POINT SYSTEM
The point system is, and always has been, as follows:
- 1st place - 10 points
- 2nd place - 9 points
- 3rd palce - 8 points
- 4th place - 7 points
- 5th place - 6 points
- 6h place - 5 points
- 7th place - 4 points
- 8th place - 3 points
- 9th place - 2 points
- 10th place - 1 point
IdRHA FUND RAISING/SPONSORSHIP
The Club will sell permanent numbers, to be used for two years. The Club Secretary, Joy Sinner will be in charge of creating and selling the permanent numbers. It was also suggested that the Youth create NRHA pattern books to sell at the shows in support of their Youth Program.
The Board will discuss and define amounts and boundaries for sponsorships at next meeting. The information will be made available to club members. Each board member volunteered to approach individuals/companies for sponsorship.
The Board also discussed the possibility of hiring a 3rd party/sponsorship person who would be paid 15% commissions for whatever they collect.
